Match Preview: Blues vs Bristol City
Blues will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon when Nigel Pearson’s Robins visit.
Birmingham are still very much in the relegation battle, but a win tomorrow would likely at least drag a few more teams into the scrap.
Things were looking up for Karanka and Blues when they got 2 wins and only 1 defeat in 4 games, but the disappointing performance and result against Barnsley has brought us all crashing back down.
However, Blues will be looking to capitalise on Bristol’s two game losing streak. It is yet another huge clash in our bid for survival.
Pearson on the other hand, will be aiming to end this poor run at our expense.
Bristol still possess a big danger to Blues though. Pearson defeated promotion chasing Swansea in his first game, and wins of that calibre will inspire the Robins fans going forward.
There are no injury concerns for Blues with Aitor Karanka confirming that “everybody is fit”. Bristol City on the other hand have a mounting injury list. Most notably, Ádám Nagy, Nathan Baker, Chris Martin, Alfie Mawson and Andreas Weimann are all out.
